The Raymond Experience hosted an exclusive scotch tasting at Scottish Arms in Central West End as a special experience for a select group. Guests dined on a five course tasting conducted by Scottish Arms front man and Scotland native, Alistair Nisbet and Executive Chef Carl Hazel, that included Cahill Whisky Cheddar with Toasted Brioche, Roasted Fennel with Crispy Shallots and Chive Oil Soup, Endive Salad with Pancetta, Sorrel Vinaigrette and Crumbled Goat Cheese, Seared Filet with Japanese Eggplant and Fennel Pesto and Vanilla Bean Cheesecake and Bruleed Lemon. All were paired with Scottish Highland, Lowland, Speyside and Campbeltown regional whiskies.
Among the guests were the young guns of the City of St. Louis Aldermanic board Shane Cohn, Kacie Starr Triplett and Antonio French, owner of the Raymond Experience, Pamela Raymond, Scott Lapp of River City Professionals, Star Meeks, Amie Needham, Partner at Thompson Coburn, Leah Garabedian of Frank, Juengel and Radefeld, Kate Muhlenkamp, Chris Peimann, Marketing and Publicity for the Sheldon Concert Hall, The Wine Merchant’s Phil Peimann, Carrie Benson, Food Outreach’s Greg Lukeman, Joseph Jordan, Stephanie Oliver, Samuel Adams’s National Sales Rep Carissa Sweigart, Sean King, Renaissance Development head Jassen Johnson, and Pfizer’s Sarah Kramer Johnson . Guests walked away not only with a refined appreciation for the distilled but with one of a kind artwork from local artist Wezee of Cowgirl Ink. Her large scale murals currently appear at the Flying Dog Brewery in Aspen, Colorado and her Josephine Baker interpretation graces the walls of Sandrina’s on Arsenal.
